PlayStoreGems (“we”, “us”, “our”) publishes independent reviews of free mobile games. This policy explains what personal information we collect through playstoregems.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. • Web-push and device information collected when you opt in to browser notifications: a device/browser push identifier (subscription token), browser and operating-system type, approximate region, and the tags described below.
• Basic technical data such as your IP address and general usage information, processed to deliver the site securely.

Web-push notifications and OneSignal

We use OneSignal as a third-party service provider (processor) to deliver email and web-push notifications on our behalf. When you submit the subscribe form and accept the browser permission prompt, the following may be shared with and stored by OneSignal:

• your email address;
• a device / browser push identifier and related technical details (browser, operating system, approximate location, subscription status);
• tags we attach to your subscription, namely: domain, name, phone, and source.

OneSignal processes this information only to send the notifications you asked for. Its handling of data is governed by its own privacy terms. We do not sell your personal information.

Legal basis: your consent

We collect and use this information on the basis of your consent, which you give by completing the subscribe form, ticking the consent checkbox, and accepting the browser notification prompt. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see “Your choices and rights”).

How we use your information

• to send you the email and web-push updates you requested;
• to operate, secure and improve the website;
• to respond to your enquiries.

Sharing and storage

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the site and notifications (such as OneSignal and our hosting provider), and only as needed to provide those services. These providers may store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

Your choices and rights

Under PIPEDA you may, subject to legal limits:

• access the personal information we hold about you and ask for corrections;
• withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time;
• ask us to delete your information.

How to opt out: use the unsubscribe link in any email, turn off notifications in your browser’s site settings, or email us at [email protected] and we will remove your details from OneSignal and our records.

Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
